A New Low

Last night a new low -- or high, depending on your point of view -- was reached over dinner with the boys. Not only were several original and frankly stunning pieces of vulgarity invented and employed, not only was a particularly rude hand motion used repeatedly and inappropriately, but I invented and displayed a gesture -- using both hands and a certain amount of hip movement -- so indecorous and frankly disturbing that jaws were dropped for yards around. Some of the people involved can plead the intervention of multiple margaritas, but I have the excuse of only a little bit of rum. And to be honest, I'm proud of my cleverness. I don't like to do something unless I can do it well, and dammit if I'm going to gesture vulgarly, I'm going to do it right.

You need to set up a website to propagate these advances in vulgarity. It's not often that any original art in this field is produced; most people are content to endlessly the cargo of rudeness and obscenity passed down to them by their parents.

Sami, ever-logical, proposed a system for generating vulgarities whereby a body part is combined with a bodily secretion. We tried out a number of possibilities and hit on a few real winners.

lol that gesture.

we sure rattled off two straight hours of vulgarities with complete disregard to those dining within a 10 yard radius.
